Harold L. Novick is a founding partner at Novick, Kim & Lee, PLLC. Harold Novick is active in all aspects of intellectual property (IP) law, as a drafter, litigator and adjunct professor of law. He has extensive experience in the electrical, telecommunications, and mechanical technologies. He regularly gives patentability, validity and infringement opinions, drafts patent, trademark, and copyright applications, prosecutes all three types of applications, and handles litigation in all three IP areas as well as in trade secrets and unfair competition. He regularly drafts and negotiates licenses and other IP agreements.

He is admitted to the bars of D.C. and Maryland and has practiced in the courts of Maryland, D.C., Virginia, Texas, California, and Nevada.

Mr. Novick has a BA degree in Physics and a master’s equivalence in Nuclear Engineering from the U.S. Navy, where he was an officer for six years and served abroad nuclear submarines.

He regularly writes articles and texts about IP and has lectured all over the world about IP matters. He has been an adjunct professor of IP law at Roger Williams Law School and Handong International Law School in Korea. He has written and taught a course for passing the Patent Agent Examination and his students have a success rate of close to 100%.
