Gunwoo Kim is an associate attorney and focuses on patent prosecution in electrical and mechanical art.

After studying electrical engineering and global entrepreneurship in Handong University, Gunwoo Kim studied U.S. law in Handong International Law School. He also completed his Master of Laws degree (L.L.M.) in Intellectual Property Law at The George Washington University Law School. His master research paper dealt with “Patent Subject Matter Eligibility under 35 U.S.C. §101.”

Before joining Novick, Kim & Lee, he served as a legal counsel at a South Korean game developing and publishing company NEOWIZ. He drafted and reviewed IP-related contracts including game publishing, music licensing, IP cross-licensing, and software licensing contracts, handled IP infringement cases, and dealt with other in-house legal matters including copyright issues.
